Custom blends, PM / MIM, and exploratory work
If your spec doesn't match a standard SKU, talk to us before assuming we can't make it.
RS&M's standard catalog is built around what filter-cartridge OEMs reorder month after month. But about a quarter of our output is custom — different mesh splits, narrower PSD bands, lower oxygen targets, dual-element blends, or full feedstock for a customer's PM or MIM line. This page is the entry point for that work.
Custom PSD splits
Need a 200/325 split, a -325 mesh fines fraction, or a tight 250–325 mesh band? We sieve to your specification with sub-batch CoAs.
Alternative chemistry
We currently atomize 304L and 316L. We can also produce 17-4 PH and 430 in trial quantities. Atmosphere-sensitive alloys are not currently in scope.
PM and MIM feedstock
Targeted oxygen content, defined apparent density, defined flow rate. We deliver in moisture-protected, signed packaging suitable for binder mixing.
Trial orders
Minimum 25 kg for custom work; smaller sample quantities are available for qualification once we agree on the target specification.
